ST-I: Soviet Super War-Machine



History
The designer of this machine is Valentine Asikritovich Ganin. This man had the experience nebezyvestnom factory "Bolshevik," and from 1942 to 1945 - senior engineer of the Central Artillery Design Bureau Plant № 92 (Grabin KB). However, the more he is known as a rocketeer, in particular, to him belongs the idea of an underwater missile launch. Pros and Cons
Pros:
  • Well-protected (140/140/100 hull and 250/160/160 top turret)  and very angled armor (about 40°)
  • Very good gun depression for a Soviet tank (-8°/+16°) event better than M103
  • Protected and easily hidden tracks double as very effective spaced armor when sidescraping
  • Small lower glacis and strong yet small copula
  • Stock turret has a low profile, albeit the upgraded turret is enormous
  • Powerful top gun with high alpha (440/440/530),very high pen on HEAT rounds (268/400/68), and reasonable accuracy for a Russian heavy gun (0.38)
  • Fire chance: 15%
  • 2,56m high, easily fire the lower hull of German tanks
  • Fashion design

Cons:
  • Stock grind is nearly impossible without the BL-9 gun, which can only be researched in advance on the opposite heavy line on the IS-3
  • Susceptible to artillery fire
  • Poor acceleration and uphill climb speed
  • Huge upgraded turret that attracts a lot of enemy fire, although very strong from the front.
  • Thin lower hull (160mm)
  • Bad mobility
  • Cost a lot credit (fix: about 20.000, 1065 per AP shell)
  • Short view range 380m

Play style
·         Fight in the front line or get to good position and cover team-med
·         Get 25° inclined to raise bouncing-chance
·         Do not go alone; your bad mobility will kill you
·         Always use hulldown or sidescrap
