Welcome to my guide on how to survive your encounters with ~~Orbital Laser Cannons~~ Artillery !

If you've ever known the feels of being 1 slammed from a SPG 800m away then keep reading !

I have made many posts in the past simply venting my anger of these ~~1 clicking weapons of satan~~ Fire

support vehicles. But after lots of artillery playing myself i realised... They are very very very powerful

machines. Alot of artillery drivers don't like to admit the power of their arty (In all fairness arty has many

drawbacks). However i'm not one of those arty drivers. Below i will talk about the mistakes people make

that alows my 210mm Morser to 1 shot their tier 10's. Hopefully this guide will make your games last

longer and you can have a laugh reading it in the process :)

If iv'e learnt anything its that raging about arty gets you nowhere. You can go on the forums

and rage all you want, But you will only get a stream of neg reps and hate. Remember, For

everytime you rage on the forum an arty driver reads it like this

Part 1 - Camouflage is the best Camouflage (Shhh, you know what i mean)

When i say camouflage i don't mean turn into a navy seal

Just try not to be.... so obvious, Arty likes obvious. Take this dear for example, arty is gonna give him a bad day

This is stage one of booking your 1 way ticket back to your garage. If you are in the open with no cover or hills

around you then it is more than likely a player can see you in this view

If this is the case... well... Lets just say your tank it pretty soon gonna look like a donut. If you are in this situation

then the best thing you can possibly do to maximize your chances of survival is zig zag and move fast. Whilst

it is not a 100% gurantee of survival it will help (Iv'e missed quite a few heavies who zig zag even when in the open).

But honestly, if there is a big arty on the other team then its your own fault if you end up in this position.

Part 2 - 'The Bigger They Are, The Harder They Fall' (Except for in WoT, Have you ever seen a MS1 take an E100 ? Lol)

I have piece of advice for you, If you are in a heavily armored, big, slow tank then your armor wont mean spuds

to the enemy artillery piece looking at you, He's gonna splash you no matter how thick your armor is. So this is

why i say INVEST IN A SPALL LINER !. The amount of times iv'e hit E100's with a 210mm Howitzer and done 150 ish

damage is crazy, Get yo'self a spall liner and i gurantee it will make arty suffer !. (Though if your in a poorly armored

tank a spall liner wont do much as 25-50% more protection from HE on your already crap armor is still crap :P, Just more

of it). Look at it !, Buy one please !

Part 3 - Counter Battery is Key ! (if you can find the buggar)

Not many people realise that ARTY IS NOT INVINCIBLE. ~~Well... I mean it can be in some games.~~ If you can find their arty

he / SHE (See how i said she ?, +1 for anti sexism) Is completely at your mercey.

If you see this in a field, Dont just charge it

Instead, Snipe it from a far. If it looks your way, THAT'S when you run ! the amount of times i've been charged by a

~~Stupid~~ Brave scout and i have just slammed a shell in his face is crazy. Do not give arty the advantage in close quater combat.

Take a G.W Tiger P using the 170mm gun. That gun is essentially the same gun as used on JgzPanzer E100 (With arty accuracy

and stuff tho). So dont think of Arty as being weak and vulnerable in TD mode. Thing of it as a JgzPanzer E100, I doubt you would

charge one of them in your Luchs would you ?. Also, If an arty looks your way, DO NOT hide behind a rock and play peekaboo

with the SPG. Many people thinks this works as it ''tricks'' SPG's into firing early, But what are they gonna fire early at ?

You!, Even if they miss they're still gonna splash your ~~dumb~~ brave arse. And when you do this your only giving the arty

time to aim at where you will pop out, You may aswell be purchasing a one way ticket to your garage !

Part 4 - Speak Clean, Or they'll be mean ! (This ones just sad)

If your sitting there, waiting for the battle timer and saying this to the enemy artillery

Then 1 minutes later dont be so shocked if you see this coming your way and only YOUR way

Thats enough of that part.

Part 5 - If you sit still, Your gonna have bills ! (seriously, Any idea how much a t10 costs to repair ? fix this shiz wargaming)

If you just sit there in the same position doing absolutely nothing and set your camp up like this fools

Then some SPG commander 800m away is gonna have some serious 'Wargasms', And in about 7 seconds

you will be a smoldering steel wreck
